Mission
Our mission is to provide our patients with the best in orthodontic care, while making their treatment both pleasant and rewarding.
Oral Hygiene
Since it is our primary concern that patients maintain good oral hygiene, it will be necessary for the patient to have regular dental check-ups. During treatment, we recommend that our patients return to their family dentist to have check-ups every six months and have their teeth cleaned during the visit.
We also recommend the use of a topical fluoride daily. Using a Water-pik and electric toothbrush can be helpful as well. These suggestions will help reduce tooth decalcification and decay.
Appointments
Because the majority of our patients are mainly young people, it is impossible for us to see all patients after school. That’s why we must alternate appointments. One month, the patient will be given an appointment after school and the next month, the patient will be scheduled during regular school hours. Appointments that require 30 to 60 minutes must be completed by 2:30. Longer appointments are necessary to keep treatments on schedule. Any time after 2:30 is considered an after school appointment time. We will work with the patient to arrange appointments so that he/she will not miss a major subject. The alternation of appointments applies to adults as well.
In order to achieve the optimal results from orthodontic treatment, regular monthly appointments must be kept. When a patient is not seen on a regular basis, we have no way of monitoring the condition of the gums, teeth and bone holding the teeth.

Broken Appliances
Due to our concern for staying on schedule, please contact our office immediately when appliances are lost, broken or loose. This will give us adequate time for the necessary corrective procedures. On some occasions it may be necessary to reschedule patients with broken appliances. This allows us more time to do a complete and thorough repair.
Each patient will be allowed 3 broken brackets. After the third broken bracket, a $20 fee, per bracket, will be charged for repair. We have found this gives the patient an extra incentive to properly care for appliances.
